Welcome to Ecumenical Bible Week 2015.

In 2014, an Ecumenical Bible Week was held in the Dublin area, running from Pentecost Sunday to Trinity Sunday. The experiment was deemed successful enough to encourage the organisers to learn from that experience and to propose a second EBW in 2015.

This time, the overall topic is “What is the Spirit saying to the Churches?”

The shape of the Bible Week includes a series of presentations offered in a range of venues, aimed at the interested ordinary believer or enquirer. Some of these are offered more than once in different locations. Some are once-off. The general area is the Bible, naturally enough, but looked at from different perspectives: film, music, ethics, law and so forth, as well as more obvious approaches such as prayer (lectio divina) or how to open Bible or organise a Bible Study group

 Dates

Ecumenical Bible Week will start Pentecost Sunday to Trinity Sunday, according to the calendar of the Western Church. For the Orthodox Churches, Pentecost is a week later, falling on Trinity Sunday (Western calendar). The dates are Bible-Week-15-Triple-Logo500
