Oasis Day by Abbey Church @ Margaret Aylward Centre
May 18 @ 9:30 am – 2:00 pm

Life is hectic and we can become enslaved to our smart phones and 24/7 communication mindset. We may wish we could be free for a while and pursue God in a little solitude and silence. Well, here’s your chance. Starting on Saturday 26th January, we’ll be holding ten Oasis Days throughout 2019. These will all take place in the beautiful and inspiring grounds of the Margaret Aylward Centre (not far from The National Botanical Gardens).
If you’ve never done anything like this before and you’re not sure whether it’s for you, either go to Alan for a chat or just take the risk and come along. You’ll be surprised how the time passes and how refreshed you’ll be afterwards.
For catering purposes (light lunch is included) please indicate your intention to attend (indicating which date(s) you are registering for) to: aboal@presbyterianireland.org or 01 8378600
Suggested vluntary donation is €10 per person per Oasis Day

Festival 2019

The 10th annual Gospel Rising Music Festival is coming to Dublin from the 17th – 19th of May and it’s going to be our biggest festival yet! Whether you’re already in a gospel choir or just like singing some soul tunes in the shower, we’ll have something for you.

I’ve never been to Gospel Rising before – what can I expect?

The majority of festival-goers buy a weekend pass which gives them access to workshops and performances all across the weekend from Friday evening all the way through to Sunday afternoon.

The festival events start on Friday evening with registration and festival pass collection from about 7pm, with the Festival Kick-Off Workshop with Volney Morgan starting at 8pm.

Saturday is a jam-packed day of singing, choreography and musicianship workshops followed by a big celebration concert featuring some of Ireland’s best-loved gospel choirs on Saturday night. Workshops cater to all levels of experience, there’s something for everyone.

Sunday starts with a morning gospel service followed by a huge afternoon of performances and more workshops in Mountjoy Square Park including a special collaborative workshop with Dublin rockers Delorentos, a high-energy Youth Choir Workshop with Volney Morgan and Craig Lees takes Tina’s ‘Simply the Best‘ to new musical heights in the afternoon Pop-Up Choir workshop.

When will festival passes go on sale?

Festival weekend passes will be on sale on Thursday 21st February 2019 starting at €65 (ex fees). Individual workshop passes are available now also.

Where in Dublin will the festival take place?

The festival will be taking place in venues around north Dublin city centre on Friday and Saturday with the big family day out in Mountjoy Square Park on Sunday.
