After the success of our Sunday Services last year, as we made our way through the Bible from Creation to New Creation in 52 stories, in 2019 we embark on a new journey through the Parables of Jesus. Don’t worry the new theme builds on the 52 stories from lats year giving us a wealth patterns to draw from.
‘Imaging the Kingdom’ – the parables of Jesus
“He taught them many things in parables” (Mk.4:2)
We don’t know how many parables Jesus told; no doubt more than we have in the New Testament, but the three authors selected these out and incorporated them into their presentations of Jesus and the Kingdom. Each parable is a word-picture or image of the Kingdom of God. So this year we’re going to make our way through 41 pictures as we attempt to imagine the Kingdom of God then, and our place in it today.
